The Cliff House BlogDiscovering Our Natural Mineral Springs

05 Mar, 2018

While you’re out exploring all the natural wonders of Manitou Springs, spend an afternoon hunting down the area’s natural mineral springs. The seven distinct springs are almost all within walking distance and play an integral role in making our town so special—it’s in our name, after all!

7 Minute Spring located near the gazebo in 7-Minute Spring Park, has the least mineral taste. Shoshone Spring is in the heart of downtown and boasts the highest, strongest mineral content of all the springs. Navajo Spring offers a salty, light taste, behind Patsy’s Candy & Gift Shop. You can find Cheyenne Spring beside a bronze sculpture and sample its strong taste. In the middle of town, Stratton Spring is incorporated with a stone sculpture of a woman collecting water. The sweetest taste? Locals have been known to use Twin Spring water for lemonade. Wheeler Spring, near the eastern corner of Soda Springs Park, has a salty, bubbly taste. Try them all and find your own favorite spring.
